The alpacas at our ranch are all geldings.  They have either been rescued or cut from other farms' breeding programs.  Once
the boys are ready for "forever homes" we try to find loving homes for them.  We have placed several of the boys in 4H
homes and pet homes and they are doing very well.  Currently we have 8 boys that are ready for placement.  All of these
boys' fiber is suitable for processing into yarn.

Alpaca fiber is a very fine, light weight and exceptionally warm fiber.  Alpaca comes in 22 distinct natural colors-from white to
fawn to rose grey (my favorite), maroon, black, etc.  It has a very soft handle, which makes it suitable for outerwear, along
with "against the body" clothing.
