Welcome to our first Wensleydale lamb of 2009!!

In 2008 we added Wensleydale sheep and Romeldale/CVM sheep. 2009 is our first lambing season resulting in 11 beautiful lambs. Wensleydale sheep are a large, rare, long wooled breed of sheep originating in North Yorkshire, England. They are quite beautiful and generally very friendly. Their fiber produces lovely yarn perfect for many projects. . Our Wensleydales are coated year round, resulting in cleaner fleeces and are shorn twice a year. They can produce 13-20 pounds of lustrous, curly fleece each year. Staple length can range from 8-12 inches. |
